DVI Aviation’s President, Steve Meyers, was invited to be a subject matter expert as a part of the FAA’s GA Joint Steering Committee (GAJSC), Loss of Control Working Group (LOCWG). The purpose of this group will be to take a data-driven approach to developing recommendations for improving the GA accident rate.
GAJSC is the primary vehicle for government-industry cooperation, communication, and coordination on GA accident mitigation. The Committee is co-chaired by the FAA and the AOPA Air Safety Foundation (ASF), the GAJSC includes representatives from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), the Helicopter Association International (HAI), the National Air Transportation Association (NATA), the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the National Weather Service, and the Small Aircraft Manufacturers Association (SAMA).
